First Winter School of Political Economy

The Allameh Tabataba’i University (Tehran, Iran), the largest Iranian educational and research center in the field of humanities and social sciences, organized the First Winter School of Political Economy.

This is a conference aimed at discussing various aspects of economic and humanitarian problems in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Online sessions was held from 4 to 18 February 2021.
Among the participants from the Russian side: Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics, Higher School of Economics, Ural Federal University, North Ossetian State University, Tomsk State University, Chelyabinsk State University, as well as the Russian Association of the Middle East. The Iranian side is represented by: The University. Allame Tabataba’i, Sharif University of Technology, Alzahra University, Institute for Trade Research and Studies

The First Winter School of Political Economy is one of the events implemented within the framework of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of science and education. By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, 2021 has been declared the Year of Science and Technology in Russia, with the Day of Russian Science as the starting event.
