The 3rd Forum of University Rectors of the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran

The 3rd Forum of Rectors of Universities of the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran was held at Lomonosov Moscow State University on October 27, 2017. The forum was attended by 20 Russian and 13 Iranian reactors. The Forum was co-chaired by the President of the Russian Rectors' Union, the Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Academician V.A. Sadovnichy, and the President of the Summit of Rectors of the Leading Universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Rector of the University of Tehran, Professor Nili Ahmadabadi Mahmud.

The Forum was attended by Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation A. A. Fursenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation Mehdi Sanai and Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran Abbas Akhundi. Greetings to the Forum participants were received from Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin and Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva. The heads of Russian and Iranian universities spoke about their universities and highlighted the main scientific and educational areas in which inter-university cooperation is already developing or could be further developed.
